Mediation offers structured support in difficult dynamics. It helps to interpret and interrupt ingrained patterns – those patterns that creep in during tense situations and from which hurt feelings or entrenched positions can arise.
As a mediator, I create a safe environment in which people can talk to each other again and jointly think about new ways to find solutions.
How I got into mediation
… or how it found me
Conflict situations have always been a part of my life – often shaped by intercultural experiences. During my studies and early career, I became familiar with alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in the southern Philippines and sub-Saharan Africa, witnessing the diverse and creative ways people can deal with conflict.
Systemic consulting and mediation have been inextricably linked for me ever since: especially in change processes, conflicts are often commonplace, which is why it is important for me to have both toolboxes at hand – in order to always have the right intervention tool at hand in complex and stressful situations.
